As the Engineering Manager for Utility-Scale Solar PV & BESS , you will play a pivotal role in the execution of our global project pipeline. You will oversee the entire engineering lifecycle, from initial design through to construction, commissioning, and final operational handover. While based in Spain, this position offers an exciting opportunity for international travel to project sites, ensuring engineering excellence on the ground. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams encompassing civil, electrical, structural, SCADA, telecommunications, and grid integration disciplines. Project Delivery: Drive and oversee all engineering activities for utility-scale PV and BESS projects, managing schedules, resource allocation, and technical interfaces with construction and commissioning teams. Quality & Compliance: Review, validate, and approve high-level engineering deliverables, drawings, calculations, and technical specifications, ensuring strict compliance with applicable international standards, grid codes, and contractual requirements. Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, external consultants, lenders' engineers, utilities, and regulatory authorities. Risk & Procurement Support: Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle. Support procurement teams by evaluating technical offers and verifying vendor documentation. Field Support: Actively support site commissioning, testing, and successful project handover activities during international site visits. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (a Master’s degree will be highly valued). PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification will be highly valued. Minimum of 10 years of professional engineering experience, with at least 5 years specifically dedicated to utility-scale Solar PV projects. Proven, hands-on experience with BESS integration and grid-connected renewable energy systems. Demonstrated experience leading and managing multidisciplinary engineering teams. Deep understanding of HV/MV substations, transmission lines, SCADA systems, and complex grid interconnection requirements. Strong familiarity with international standards such as IEC, IEEE, and NEC. Full professional proficiency in English is required; fluency or knowledge of French is a distinct advantage. Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities. Preferred Experience Track record of successfully delivering projects exceeding 50 MWp Solar PV and/or utility-scale BESS. Solid background working within EPC project frameworks. Experience interfacing with international clients and lenders' engineers.
