Job Title: Oracle FLEXCUBE Functional Application Analyst Department: IT Reports to: Head of IT Controlled Function: N/A Location: London Hours of work: Full-time, Monday to Friday the role is based 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home Job Purpose: We are seeking a motivated, hands-on Oracle FLEXCUBE Functional Application Analyst to provide functional support for the Bank’s Oracle FLEXCUBE Universal Banking platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day functional support of the application, including investigating and resolving issues, coordinating business change, eliciting and documenting business requirements, and supporting the successful delivery of projects and system enhancements. Acting as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, the Bank’s extensive functional IT teams in Cairo, and Oracle the role is responsible for ensuring business requirements are translated into effective system solutions and that functional issues are resolved in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will possess strong functional knowledge of Oracle FLEXCUBE, a sound understanding of core banking operations and processes, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. This is a business-facing role requiring excellent communication skills and the ability to translate business requirements into practical system solutions. Main Responsibilities: Functional Application Support Provide functional support for Oracle FLEXCUBE Universal Banking applications including the modules Core Banking, OBPM Payments, OBCL Corp Lending, OBTF Trade Finance, OBTR Treasury Mgmt, OBO Origination, OBCLPM Corporate Lending, OBBRN Branch Mgmt, ELCM Enterprise Limits & Collateral Mgmt and OBDX Oracle Banking Digital Experience for online and mobile banking. Investigate and resolve user enquiries relating to business processes and application functionality. Analyse functional issues and coordinate resolution with Oracle, implementation partners and internal technical teams where necessary. Support users during production incidents and major business events. Maintain application configuration documentation and operational procedures. Identify opportunities to improve business processes through better utilisation of FLEXCUBE functionality. Business Analysis Work closely with business stakeholders to understand and identify operational requirements and improvements. Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to gather, analyse and document business requirements. Produce Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications and process maps. Perform gap analysis between existing functionality and business requirements. Recommend functional solutions aligned with Oracle FLEXCUBE best practice. Change Delivery Coordinate the delivery of application enhancements and business change initiatives. Liaise with business users, vendors and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle. Manage functional testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Ensure production deployments are successfully implemented and transitioned into business-as-usual support. Maintain change documentation and implementation plans IT Project Delivery Support strategic technology and business transformation projects including: Oracle FLEXCUBE module implementations Digital banking initiatives Payment system enhancements Regulatory change Treasury system integration Product launches Operational process automation Core banking upgrades Example projects may include: Implementation of Oracle FLEXCUBE Treasury and Capital Markets modules. Integration of FLEXCUBE Treasury with a new front-office trading platform, with post-trade processing, settlement events and accounting managed within FLEXCUBE Treasury. Oracle Banking Digital Experience (OBDX) implementation and enhancement. Payment processing improvements. SWIFT and payment hub integration. Business Process Improvement Review existing operational processes and identify improvement opportunities. Simplify and standardise business workflows. Promote automation wherever possible. Ensure appropriate segregation of duties and operational controls. Support audit findings and regulatory initiatives relating to application controls. Experience & Skills required: Required Experience Proven experience supporting Oracle FLEXCUBE Universal Banking and functional knowledge of the modules mentioned. Strong understanding of banking products and operational processes. Experience gathering and documenting business requirements. Experience supporting business users in a production environment. Experience managing application changes and software releases. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders. Experience coordinating User Acceptance Testing. Strong documentation skills. Ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities. Proficiency in Jira, SharePoint and Microsoft Office applications, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Desirable Experience with Oracle Banking Digital Experience (OBDX). Experience implementing Treasury or Capital Markets solutions. Knowledge of SWIFT payments and messaging. Understanding of ISO 20022 payments. Knowledge of Oracle Banking APIs. Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud or middleware. Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies. Experience working within regulated financial services Beneficial Certifications Oracle University Flexcube certification Business Analysis qualification (e.g. BCS, IIBA).
