Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain our global network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, and VPNs. Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure high availability and reliability. Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures, implementing measures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other cyber threats. Manage network hardware and software, including configuration, upgrades, and patching. Troubleshoot complex network issues, diagnosing and resolving connectivity, performance, and security problems. Oversee network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and inventory. Collaborate with IT teams, including cybersecurity, systems, and application development, to ensure seamless integration and support for business operations. Manage vendor relationships for network hardware, software, and services. Develop and manage the network budget, optimizing spend for maximum effectiveness. Lead and mentor a team of network engineers and administrators, fostering continuous skill development. Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans related to network infrastructure. Stay up-to-date with emerging networking technologies, protocols, and industry best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field. 7-10 years of progressive experience in network administration or engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role. Deep technical expertise in network protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP), routing, switching, and firewall technologies (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet). Proven experience with network design, implementation, and troubleshooting in complex enterprise environments. Strong understanding of network security principles and practices. Experience with cloud networking (e.g., AWS VPC, Azure VNet, GCP Cloud Networking) is highly desirable. Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG). Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, JNCIE, or equivalent are highly preferred. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail. Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex network concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
