Senior Data Engineer Job Category: Data Engineer Job Type: Remote Job Location: India Join us as a Senior Data Engineer (FIX)—Build Resilient Trading Connectivity for Financial Services Drive the App Simplification (Trade Surveillance) initiative as a fast starter, leveraging AWS, FIX, and Java to deliver reliable connectivity and data flows Responsibilities Hands-on engineering skills to build FIX connectivity using Rapid Addition adapters across exchanges and asset classes. Develop and maintain FIX connectivity services in the Rapid Addition console through scripting and build Java modules for data integration. Perform business data transformation and mapping across trading workflows. Integrate and manage messaging with Solace . Manage deployment and CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth, repeatable releases. Implement and maintain observability for FIX services , including logging, metrics, and tracing, aligned with standard practices (e.g., OTEL). Troubleshoot sessions, perform certification testing, and ensure smooth onboarding. Collaborate with BAs, PMs, and infrastructure teams; contribute to agile delivery. Provide production support and ensure high availability throughout implementation and migration. Skills & Experience 8+ years of experience; strong AWS/FIX/Java background. Strong engineering skills with good understanding of FIX protocol , particularly in post-trade workflows and drop-copy flows (low latency knowledge not required) Solid Java development skills. Has experience dealing/configuring FIX or ETL related workflow engine Experience with Rapid Addition adapters is preferred . Expertise in business data transformation, mapping, and Solace messaging . Experience with deployment automation and CI/CD pipelines . Understanding of observability practices (logging, metrics, tracing, OTEL). Strong troubleshooting, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Note: Shift timings align with UK working hours. This role is based in Ahmedabad, but candidates from other cities or states are encouraged to apply, as remote or hybrid working options are available.
