Careers Solutions Architect – Cloud & Infrastructure We’re looking for an experienced Solutions Architect – Cloud & Infrastructure to lead the design and assurance of customer cloud and infrastructure solutions across pre-sales, delivery, and transition into Managed Services. You’ll help ensure every solution is secure, scalable, supportable, and aligned to Simoda standards—while working closely with Sales, Project Delivery, and Managed Services teams to deliver an excellent customer experience. Location Sheffield Employment Type Full time Department Service Delivery Location: Sheffield | Working pattern: [Office/Hybrid] What you’ll be doing Lead cloud and infrastructure solution design across customer engagements (pre-sales through delivery). Design and validate solutions across Azure, Microsoft 365, AVD/RDS, Windows Server, networking, and security. Assure technical scope, assumptions, and feasibility during discovery and initiation. Provide hands-on technical leadership and act as an escalation point for complex issues. Identify and manage technical risks, dependencies, and constraints early in delivery. Ensure solutions are documented, standardised, and ready for support (monitoring, backup, security, acceptance criteria). Improve reference architectures and repeatable service offerings by feeding lessons learned back into teams. What we’re looking for Strong experience designing and delivering Microsoft Azure and cloud-based infrastructure solutions. Practical experience across Microsoft 365, identity, security, and device management platforms. Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and/or Remote Desktop Services (RDS). Solid background in Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and core infrastructure services. Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity. Clear communicator who can explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Nice to have Microsoft certifications (e.g. AZ-104, AZ-305, MS-100/101) or working towards them. Experience in an MSP, VAR, or IT services environment. Exposure to Azure governance, cost optimisation, and security best practice. Comfortable supporting pre-sales activities and customer presentations. How you work Collaborative: works effectively with architects, project managers, and engineers.
