software data test engineer Job Title: System Test Engineer [Systems Tester] Number of Positions: 02 Job Type : Permanent Working Hours: Monday – Friday, Full-Time (37.50 hours per week,Work from home option available / Flexible Working hours) Salary Per Annum: £31,145- £43,927 (Depending on Experience) Job Ad Posting date: 25/07/2025 Job Ad Closing date: 24/08/2025 Job reference: NWSST0725 Job Location: Swindon (SN2),Wiltshire We are looking for top skilled System Tester / Software – Quality Assurance/ System Test Engineers with strong manual testing skills to join in our project and to work on our ecommerce related POC project Responsibilities and Duties: As a sysmter test engineer, your responsibilities are: – Testing the Web based eCommerce applications – Testing their payment gateway data flows (eg.WorldPay/PayPal/Stripe) – Testing with APIs data – Integration testing with other systems – Source to Target data comparisons – Good skills in querying databases using SQL – Testing Microsoft applications using Microsoft share point – Testing Manual applications – Preparing Test cases and Executing Test cases – Raising defects using JIRA / Microsoft TFS – scope to learn Automation Skills required: • Experience as test engineer / software systems tester / data test engineer • Experience as a software system test engineer / Quality Assurance Engineer/ Data Test Analyst • Excellent in bug tracking tools such as Jira, HP – QC/Quality Center, Microsoft Team Foundation Server(TFS) • Experience with (ETL) tools such as Informatica , Microsoft – SSIS • Able to write and query SQL Statements • Experience in manual testing • Ability to write test scenarios and test cases • Ability to execute test cases and reporting defects found during testing • Able to find / detect software defects / work flow problems at the early stage of software development • Experience in API tools API – Tools: • Postman • Swagger Bug tracking tools: • JIRA • Microsoft TFS . Bugzilla Databases: • Microsoft SQL Server • Oracle 9/10g/11g/12 . DB2 .
