The Role We are seeking a high-performing Account Executive to drive new business growth. This is a hunter role focused on prospecting, qualifying, and closing opportunities with mid-market and enterprise organisations. Reporting to the UK Sales Leader, you’ll be part of a supportive and collaborative sales team with the freedom to operate remotely. You’ll also have one direct report and play a key part in achieving SmarterPay’s ambitious revenue targets. Key Responsibilities Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, inbound leads, and partner channels Manage the full sales cycle — from lead generation to closed won Build strong relationships with key decision-makers such as CFOs, Finance Directors, and Heads of Treasury Deliver compelling presentations, demos, and proposals (with Pre-Sales / Projects support) Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting within Salesforce Collaborate closely with Marketing to align campaigns and drive qualified leads Stay up to date with market trends and competitor activity to position SmarterPay as a market lead Attend key exhibitions and industry events throughout the year to represent SmarterPay across the UK Skills & Experience Proven track record of achieving or exceeding new business sales targets 2+ years’ closing experience within SaaS, payment solutions, or other technical B2B sales environments Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and closing skills Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities Highly self-motivated and comfortable working remotely Ability to understand and articulate technical solutions to both finance and IT stakeholders Familiarity with Salesforce, Lusha, PandaDoc, and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus Why Join? The Role We are seeking a high‑performing Partner Manager to develop, manage, and grow SmarterPay’s strategic partner ecosystem. This is a relationship‑driven commercial role focused on onboarding new partners, nurturing existing partnerships, and driving partner‑sourced revenue. Reporting to the Sales Leadership team, you’ll operate with full autonomy in a greenfield environment, giving you the freedom to shape processes, build a scalable partner programme, and directly influence revenue growth. You’ll work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product to ensure partners are fully enabled and aligned with SmarterPay’s go‑to‑market strategy. Key Responsibilities Identify, onboard, and develop new strategic partners to expand SmarterPay’s partner network Manage and strengthen relationships with existing partners through regular meetings, calls, and joint planning sessions Enable partners with training, sales support, and materials to help them confidently position and sell SmarterPay’s solutions Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to execute joint campaigns and share partner insights Track partner performance, manage partner‑sourced pipeline, and maintain accurate CRM records in Salesforce Deliver partner‑focused presentations, enablement sessions, and co‑selling activities Attend partner events, industry exhibitions, and networking opportunities to represent SmarterPay and identify new partnership opportunities Provide ongoing feedback to internal teams to support product development and market alignment Skills & Experience 3+ years’ experience in Partner Management, Account Management, or Customer Success Background in Fintech or SaaS (highly preferred) Proven ability to build and maintain strong commercial relationships Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder‑management skills Highly self‑motivated and comfortable working autonomously Experience with Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, or similar CRM/marketing tools is a plus Knowledge of Bacs, ERPs, or payment processes is beneficial but can be trained Ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Marketing, and Product teams Why Join? £40,000 – £45,000 Commission: 10% on closed‑won deals from partner referrals Unlimited holiday policy 100% remote working, with occasional in‑person team meet‑ups Complete autonomy to build and shape the partner function Clear progression path to Head of Partnerships Company‑wide quarterly socials and attendance at major industry events A collaborative, supportive team that values performance and shared success If you’re eager to embark on a journey towards a fulfilling career with abundant opportunities for growth and development, as a dynamic and innovative company, SmarterPay is constantly on the lookout for talented individuals who are passionate about revolutionising the fintech industry.
