The Role As Finance Manager, reporting to the CFO and working closely with senior leadership oversight, you will be responsible for the accurate, timely and controlled operation of the finance function. This is a hands-on role, owning month end close, management accounts, cashflow operations, billing and credit control, and supporting budgeting and forecasting. You will play a key role in ensuring that GrowthInvest’s financial reporting is robust, repeatable and scalable, while helping reduce key person risk through process discipline and documentation. You will interact regularly with colleagues across Operations, Technology, Compliance and Senior Management teams, as well as with external accountants, advisers and partners and we expect you, along with every member of the team, to contribute positively and in line with our company values: https://growthinvest.com/our-values/ Key Responsibilities Accounting & Month End Close Own the monthly close process to a defined timetable. Maintain accurate and timely management accounts (P&L, balance sheet and cash). Manage accruals, prepayments, journals and reconciliations. Ensure balance sheet integrity and appropriate revenue recognition. Maintain finance working files and month-end documentation. Revenue, Billing & Credit Control Operate billing across multiple revenue streams, including: Annual licence fees Ongoing Platform AUA based charges Ad hoc fees and projects Maintain and operate billing logic and supporting data. Issue invoices and manage aged debt. Run credit control processes and escalate non payment issues appropriately. Support accurate revenue cutoff and accruals at period end. Cashflow & Financial Operations Maintain the rolling short term cashflow forecast (with FD level design oversight). Execute payment runs in line with agreed controls and approval limits. Monitor liquidity, cash headroom and short term financial risk. Support proactive cash management and visibility across the business. Reporting & Management Information Produce monthly KPI and performance reporting. Support board, investor and stakeholder reporting requirements. Provide financial analysis and insight to support decision making. Work with senior stakeholders to ensure reporting is clear, consistent and decision‑focussed. Governance, Controls & External Liaison Act as the primary day‑to‑day contact for external accountants and advisers. Support audit and statutory reporting processes. Ensure finance activities are carried out in line with internal policies and controls. Document key finance processes and contribute to continuous improvement. Contribute to process automation to help the business scale. About You Essential Proven experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or similar hands‑on finance role. Strong technical accounting skills, including accruals, prepayments and revenue recognition. Experience running month‑end close and producing management accounts. Strong Excel skills and confidence working with complex spreadsheets. Experience working in a regulated, platform, fintech or financial services environment. High attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Able to work comfortably with senior stakeholders and non‑finance colleagues. Nice to Have Experience with subscription‑based or percentage‑based revenue models. Exposure to alternative investments or investment platforms. Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and cashflow modelling. Familiarity with cloud accounting systems and finance tools. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across teams and with external partners. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise under pressure. A proactive, problem‑solving mindset and willingness to take ownership.
