About this role
Working closely with CPCAB’s Quality Assurance Team, EVs play a key role in maintaining the quality and integrity of CPCAB qualifications, through reviewing assessment decisions and internal quality assurance processes, providing constructive feedback, and offering practical guidance to support continuous improvement in teaching, assessment and learner experience. A written report is completed after each visit. This is a sessional role , with work allocated annually based on your availability (2–30 days/visits per year) . EVs are not employees of CPCAB. We are looking for a detail-focussed, analytical individual who is motivated by problem-solving and continuous improvement to join our Operations team as a Digital Systems Support Analyst. This role is available as either a fully remote or a blended working position with our head office being located in Glastonbury, Somerset. Providing first-line support for CPCAB’s digital systems, including the CPCAB Portal, supporting internal teams, centres and tutors Triaging and managing system queries and issues via the ticketing system, resolving where possible and escalating appropriately Investigating and recreating reported bugs to support accurate diagnosis and resolution Supporting system development and improvement activities, including testing new features Creating and maintaining user guides, support articles and system documentation Assisting with the setup, configuration and maintenance of online forms, data collections and digital workflows Administering user accounts, permissions and access rights across CPCAB systems Maintaining data accuracy and integrity through routine processing and quality checks The successful candidate will have a proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical users. They will be confident working independently, comfortable analysing data and systems, and motivated by improving digital processes and user experience. Experience of working with databases, testing tools and digital platforms is essential, and an interest in new and emerging technologies is highly valued. The role is offered at four or five full days a week. The annual FTE salary is £30,000. You will play a vital role in delivering our Diploma courses, bringing counselling to life with enthusiasm and helping to shape the next generation of counsellors. Monitor and regularly assess learners' work, providing timely feedback that supports their development and progression. Participate in internal/external moderation and verification processes. Attend relevant tutor team meetings and liaise with administration staff as required. Attend relevant CPCAB standardisation meetings (once per academic year). Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required: Qualified Counsellor with a therapeutic counselling qualification at Level 4 or above. In-depth knowledge of Humanistic Approaches (Existential, Person-centred, Gestalt). A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to complete the Level 3 Award in Education and Training. Minimum of one years' experience of teaching and assessing at Level 2 or above. Membership of a professional association for counselling or psychotherapy, preferably BACP.
