Job Title: Security Systems Installation & Support Technician Job Overview We are seeking a competent and dependable Security Systems Installation & Support Technician to join our engineering business. The role focuses on the installation, configuration, maintenance, and repair of electronic security systems, alongside providing technical support and customer liaison throughout the system lifecycle. The position involves on-site and remote work, fault diagnosis, and after-sales support, ensuring that installed systems and related equipment operate effectively and meet customer requirements. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, test, and commission electronic security systems, including CCTV, alarm systems, access control, and monitoring equipment. Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs to ensure systems remain fully operational. Troubleshoot technical issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner. Provide technical and after-sales support to customers, responding to queries and resolving issues professionally. Liaise directly with clients to explain system operation, provide guidance, and support ongoing use of installed systems and equipment. Assist with the installation, setup, and configuration of other technical equipment supplied by the business, where required. Maintain accurate service records, installation documentation, and reports in accordance with company procedures. Skills and Experience Proven experience in installing, maintaining, and supporting electronic security systems. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Good communication and customer service abilities. Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively. Practical, hands-on technical aptitude. Desirable Relevant technical or vocational qualifications in security systems, electronics, or a related discipline. Experience working in customer-facing technical roles. Full UK driving licence.
