About this role
We are a small, dynamic team of international talents, working semi-hybrid in central London. We are currently recruiting a Senior Software Engineer to help us further develop our in-house ‘SCALED Software’. Our SCALED software automatically design ‘scale-like’ material solutions for flexible body protection using the power of parametric and computational design. Role responsibilities Software Engineering for ‘SCALED Algorithm’ using Rhino, Grasshopper, C+, C#, Java Develop and maintain software tools that enable parametric design workflows Design, implement and test software applications and libraries Enhance and support Product Development through computational design Backend & Frontend Development of SCALED Software You will work closely with other engineers and designers to understand their needs and create solutions that meet their requirements. Write clean, maintainable and efficient code, develop GITHub inventory Developing a SCALED material library for efficient material solutions Create and maintain technical documentation. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback. Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the field of software engineering and parametric design. Participate in research and development for the company’s vision Minimum requirements Professional experience in Computational Design Great understanding of Git and Github Great experience working with Visual studio Proficiency in C#, C++ and JavaScript Knowledge of Rhinocommon Working understanding of Mesh geometry (including Half Edge Data Structures) and computational design Good to have Professional experience in 3D printing (FDM and SLS) High Experience in Grasshopper and Rhino Knowledge of C++/C# interoperability is an advantage Experience developing UI in C# or Javascript Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and compelling visualizations.
