About this role

Here's a little about my background in Business & Project Management. Where I’ve Worked 2012 - 2017 IT & Communications Enginner - Royal Air Force 2017 - 2018 Project Manager/Business Systems Analyst - OpenCRM 2018 - 2022 Project Manager at TUI & Allianz 2022 - Present Programme Manager at Allianz My Story In 2012, I joined the Royal Air Force directly from school, immediately immersing myself in a year-long program of IT & Telecommunications training. 5 years of service took me all across the world, overseeing the installation, maintenance, and support of mission-critical airfield systems. I decided to leave the parade ground bubble and join the corporate world in 2017. Since then, I’ve led and delivered change projects in several sectors, including Digital, SaaS, Travel, and Insurance. In those eight years, I’ve enjoyed working across the globe, using my people-focused style to lead teams that deliver great results. During that time I’ve gained APMQ, MSP, AgilePM, and Change Management certifications. My writing journey also began in 2017, helping a friend create simple articles about wristwatches for his growing SEO business. Having developed as a writer, I now focus on Business & Project Management topics, working with B2B clients to create content that supports their growth marketing strategies. I’ve written for many well-known names in the project management world, including the Association for Project Management, monday.com, Toggl Plan, and Planio. In 2025, I was a contributory author for the latest APM Body of Knowledge, covering topics such as project life cycles, business cases, procurement, benefits management, and contingency planning. © 2026 James Elliott Project Management.
