About this role

Working from our offices in Fareham, you will be expected to travel to customer locations in the UK and overseas. Maintaining and developing new and existing relationships with government, defence or law enforcement customers, you will be individually responsible for managing and developing business with your allocated customer base. Surrounded and supported by our highly motivated and talented team, you should bring expertise from a government, defence or law enforcement background. Knowledge of radio systems, UAS payloads and software defined radios would be of significant value. ENQUIRE ABOUT THIS ROLE Field Application Engineer (Software Defined Radio) We’re seeking a proactive, collaborative Field Application Engineer to join our multidisciplinary engineering team. Job purpose Support the growth of the SDR business by developing application examples, enabling customer integration, providing technical support across the product range, and working closely with sales and engineering teams. The role offers the opportunity to develop into an applications/software engineering position within a growing business. Key responsibilities and accountabilities Develop application examples and reference designs using SDR platforms (e.g. signal chains, integrations with MATLAB/Python/GNU Radio, OpenCPI) Create and maintain clear technical documentation, including application notes, user guides, and example walkthroughs Provide technical support to customers, primarily remotely, supporting integration, debugging, and application development Work closely with engineering teams to understand platforms, contribute feedback, and improve usability and documentation Support sales activities through: technical input to proposals customer meetings and demonstrations Assist in developing demonstration systems and evaluation setups for customer engagement Reproduce and diagnose customer issues across software, FPGA, and system-level interfaces (with support as needed) Contribute to the continuous improvement of: developer experience tools, APIs and documentation ways of working / internal processes Want to find out more or apply?
