From subscriptions and prepaid products to pricing updates and promotional campaigns, our tools support business-critical operations through intuitive experiences, trusted workflows, and reliable platform services. As a Fullstack Engineer, you'll develop end-to-end solutions spanning modern web applications, backend services, and data platforms. Working closely with engineers, product managers, designers, and business partners, you'll help create the tools that enable Spotify's global subscription business to innovate safely, efficiently, and at scale. Build secure, reliable, and auditable systems that support business-critical financial operations and SOX-compliant approval workflows. Collaborate with engineers across the Subscriptions Mission to evolve shared platform capabilities, improve developer experience, and increase platform reliability. Write maintainable, well-tested code while contributing to technical design, architecture discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement. Participate in an on-call rotation to help maintain the reliability and availability of services powering Spotify Premium. You have experience building and delivering production software across both frontend and backend technologies. You have experience developing scalable backend services using modern Java, with Java 17+ experience being a plus. You have built modern web applications using TypeScript, React, and Next.js. You have experience designing or consuming GraphQL APIs and enjoy building schema-driven applications. You have worked with gRPC services and Protocol Buffers, or you're excited to deepen your expertise in distributed systems. You have hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or another relational database, including schema design, migrations, and query optimization. You care about writing reliable, maintainable, and well-tested software that delivers long-term value. You enjoy partnering with engineers, designers, product managers, and business stakeholders to solve complex problems and deliver meaningful outcomes. You have a passion for simplifying complex workflows and creating intuitive experiences for internal users. Experience with tools such as jOOQ, Flyway, Apollo GraphQL, DataLoader, Styled Components, Storybook, TanStack Query, Tailwind CSS, Material UI, or similar technologies will help you ramp up quickly. Experience building commerce platforms, subscription products, pricing systems, distributed systems, or large-scale platform modernization initiatives is beneficial.
