The Live-In Support Worker will promote independence, dignity, safety, and wellbeing while helping service users achieve their daily living goals and maintain a good quality of life. Key Responsibilities 1. Daily Living Support • Support service users with personal care needs (washing, dressing, grooming, toileting) in a respectful and dignified manner. • Assist with meal preparation, cooking, and ensuring healthy nutrition. • Support with medication administration in line with company policy and training. • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment. 2. Emotional & Social Support • Build positive, trusting relationships with service users. • Provide companionship and encourage service users to engage in meaningful activities. • Support individuals to attend appointments, social events, community activities, or educational/employment opportunities. 3. Independence & Skills Development • Encourage and support service users to develop independent living skills such as budgeting, cleaning, cooking, and managing their daily routines. • Promote choice, empowerment, and active involvement in decision-making. 4. Safeguarding & Safety • Act immediately upon any safeguarding concerns following Harlee & Haylee Care Ltd policies. • Follow risk assessments and support plans to maintain a safe environment. • Report any incidents, concerns, or changes in service user needs to the management team. 5. Record Keeping & Compliance • Complete accurate and timely daily notes, MAR charts, incident reports, and all required documentation. • Maintain confidentiality and comply with GDPR and company data protection policies. • Follow all organisational policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. 6. Professionalism & Collaboration • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies. • Attend training sessions, supervision, and team meetings as required. • Represent Harlee & Haylee Care Ltd professionally at all times. Person Specification Essential • Experience working in care or supporting vulnerable adults. • Good communication skills—both written and verbal. • Ability to work independently and responsibly in a live-in environment. • Understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding, and professional boundaries. • Compassionate, patient, and committed to providing excellent care. • Right to work in the UK. Desirable • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards this). • Experience in supported living or working with adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs, autism, or complex care needs. • Valid DBS (or willingness to undergo checks).
