We are looking to fill several SOC analyst positions in a rapidly expanding team that provides service to internal and external customers. If you have a background in support, deployment or security operations and would like to expand your skills in a Microsoft focused security role this could be the position for you. As a Microsoft Gold partner we invest heavily in training and provide the time and support for you to achieve accreditations from Microsoft Security Operations Analyst through to Microsoft Certified Security Administrator Associate. Location Remote role - work from home only The candidate must live and hold a relevant Right to work in the UK for this role. Please note that Softwerx does not currently hold a sponsor licence and is therefore unable to provide visa sponsorship for employment in the UK. Key Responsibilities Receipt and categorisation of initial event, incident and requests from customers. Provide initial triage and trigger escalation/assignment as appropriate. Investigation of event alerts and liaising with the customer to confirm closure. 24/7 rota in 8 hour shift pattern (see attached). Essential Experience Understanding of Information Security principles. Good written and verbal communication skills. Technical understanding of IT infrastructure (any of the following) Microsoft 365 suite Azure Active Directory Azure portal Ability to install security software and applications. Preferred Experience Previous experience in a SOC or security team. Experience with a Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) toolset. Azure Sentinel for example. Experience with EDR tools. Microsoft certifications. Package Competitive Market Salary (£30 - £40K). 33 holiday shifts per annum. The successful candidate will be required to satisfy a right to work in the UK and Standard DBS check at conditional offer stage.
