Get more than skills – get results “I decided to do a programme that was backed by a university that’s well-renowned and also was long enough to go into the depths of the topic itself.” – Sanya Setia ”I worked with my Career Coach right up front. We set my goals for my career, which helped: I said I need this much salary to support my family, I want it to be in this kind of environment, and I hit all of those goals.” – James Stuart “It’s all very engaging, it’s all interactive. You’ve got a network – not to mention the Success Manager, industry mentor and Career Coach. I’m not trying to upsell what this is, but it certainly goes above and beyond my expectations, and that’s why I’m here.” – Mitch Da Silva What you’ll learn Each of the two eight-week courses is purpose-built to give you the strategic and leadership capabilities you need to stand out in the industry. In the final course – a six-week Capstone Project – you’ll apply what you’ve learned to lead a realistic crisis scenario. A one-day Cambridge Leadership Immersion is included (in-person with virtual option; timing may vary). Access the full curriculum 2 WEEKS Onboarding and Goal Setting You’ll start with two weeks of Orientation, where you’ll get comfortable with the online learning platform, connect with fellow learners, and plan your studies. You’ll also meet your Success Manager and Career Coach, who will help you personalise the plan to achieve your version of success. 8 WEEKS Course 1: Strategic Threat Intelligence & AI's Impact on Cybersecurity This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the strategic, operational and technical dimensions of emerging threats in the cyber domain. You'll explore the AI-amplified threat landscape, examining AI-powered attacks, ransomware targeting critical infrastructure, cyber-physical vulnerabilities, and state-sponsored operations. Through structured threat assessment and risk-modelling approaches, you’ll learn how to prioritise risks, assess uncertainty, and understand the broader business consequences of cyber incidents. A central focus is developing the ability to translate complex technical intelligence into clear, executive-ready insights that support strategic decision-making at senior levels. 8 WEEKS Course 2: Cybersecurity: Strategy, People and Performance In this course, you’ll build the leadership, operational and communication capabilities required to position cybersecurity as a strategic business function. You’ll explore how security leaders shape organisational culture, develop and lead high-performing teams, and manage the transition from technical specialist to people-focused leader. The course also addresses the everyday realities of leadership, including budget planning, investment justification, project delivery, governance and procurement. Through practical scenarios and strategic exercises, you'll gain the confidence to articulate risk to executives, navigate regulatory frameworks including NIS2, GDPR, DORA, and the EU AI Act, and foster a security-aware organisational culture. 1 DAY One-Day Cambridge Leadership Immersion The Cambridge Leadership Immersion is an intensive one-day experience designed to deepen your leadership capability through applied learning. Led by Cambridge University faculty and experienced industry practitioners, the immersion focuses on executive communication, decision-making under pressure and stakeholder alignment. You’ll participate in facilitated leadership exercises and live crisis scenarios, gaining insight into how senior security leaders navigate complex incidents and organisational dynamics. The experience also provides valuable opportunities to connect with peers and industry professionals, strengthening your leadership presence and professional network. While designed to be attended in person at Cambridge, a virtual attendance option is available, and timing may vary across cohorts. 6 WEEKS Capstone Project: Managing Strategic Security Transformation in Crisis Conditions The programme concludes with a six-week Capstone Project that brings together the strategic, operational and leadership skills developed throughout the Career Accelerator. You’ll lead the response to a simulated cybersecurity incident at a fictional organisation with limited security maturity, requiring you to stabilise operations, coordinate containment efforts and manage communication with senior stakeholders under pressure. Following the crisis phase, you’ll design a high-level, multi-year cybersecurity transformation strategy that addresses organisational weaknesses while aligning with business objectives, resource constraints and governance requirements. With guidance from industry mentors, you’ll demonstrate your readiness for leadership roles by producing executive-level outputs that reflect real-world decision-making and accountability. Who you’ll learn from Subject Experts To ensure relevance and rigour, the programme content is developed in consultation with both university faculty and industry leaders. Facilitators Get both live and on-demand guidance from experienced professionals for content challenges and industry best practices.
