Role Outline You will form part of our local Technology team based in our Gibraltar office, supporting our Banking and E-Money services across Gibraltar, the UK and Europe. You will have the opportunity to create, develop and work on a variety of in-house software systems, tools, and data utilities to meet business needs while also playing a key role in the day-to-day management, administration and evolution of third-party key systems and peripheral solutions used by the business. Key responsibilities include: • Develop and maintain various in-house web applications and tools to support the business. • Assist in the technical configuration and maintenance of third-party systems used by the business. • Provide data transformation scripting for large data sets to support other business teams as required (such as transaction monitoring, data reporting, and financial reconciliations). • Documenting business requirements for software solutions that are being developed (in-house and/or with external vendors) and ensuring structured testing of solutions being delivered. • Project management of solutions and changes to systems (in-house or with external vendors), including the tracking of deliverables. • Assist with day-to-day administrative work on systems, including addressing any alerts raised, and administrative management. • Provide ‘on-the-ground’ technical hands for issues, to support off-site network engineering and hardware teams in resolution of live issues affecting systems and users. • Assist with tracking and prioritising business requests hitting the local technology team. Job Specific Competencies • Self-starter, with the ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively to meet deadlines. • Good communication skills with the ability to break down complex ideas and technical language for non-subject matter experts • Ability to work closely and effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. • Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset, you should be able to think through and envisage how systems will behave under different scenarios. • A quick learner with the ability to work independently and learn new skills/technologies as required. • While no knowledge of financial services is required, a willingness to learn about aspects of Banking, Cards and Payment Services is expected. Knowledge and Skills • Coding (languages flexible, however Python, C# and/or PHP preferred) • Experience developing web-applications and working with frameworks (e.g. Laravel, Django, Blazor, etc.) • Experience in relation to data ingestion and transformation work. • SQL data querying skills • Experience working with APIs • Ability to document business requirements. • Testing in relation to software applications (including UAT and overall end-to-end). • Basic knowledge of IP networking • Appreciation of IT security • Strong Excel skills, general competency in office suite applications Desired but not essential • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.) • Experience working with MI/BI and data warehouse systems • Experience in Server Administration, Network Security • Diverse technical knowledge Disclaimer The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
