As part of our web team, you’ll work closely with our Lead Developer and Head of Design to build, optimise and support high-performing Shopify stores for a wide range of clients – from fast-growing DTC brands to established B2B and household names. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work both remotely and from either our Hull or Leeds office. What you’ll do: Build Shopify themes from start to finish. Support and maintain live Shopify builds. Work closely with designers to deliver high-performing, conversion-focused storefronts. Liaise directly with clients to understand requirements and deliver solutions. Manage your own workload with no micromanagement. Troubleshoot bugs, performance issues and technical challenges. Continuously learn and test new Shopify features, tools and technologies. What we’re looking for: 2+ years’ experience in Shopify custom theme development. Experience working on high-turnover ecommerce websites. In-depth knowledge of the Shopify ecosystem, including Shopify CLI and the Liquid templating language. Working knowledge of databases such as MongoDB or PostgreSQL. Strong version control skills using Git and Shopify CLI workflows. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset. Strong communication skills, both internally and when liaising directly with clients.
