How this is measured

Region segments are the employer's registered-office region (Companies House), not the job's location. Job pages whose title is classified outside IT & Software (titles pass; physical Engineering counts as non-tech) where the candidate is asked for AI skills or tools, or the role's work involves AI. Two steps: a case-rule regex (PageFeatureExtractor::aiMentions: AI, ChatGPT, Copilot, generative AI, machine learning, prompt engineering, LLMs) finds pages mentioning AI — read from the ATS job description when the page carries one, else only from the advert window around the page's own title, so other jobs' listing cards ("Open positions AI Business Partner …") don't count — after removing recruitment-tooling statements, cookie/privacy text, company names and .ai domains; then an LLM context check (research.php --mode=ai-check, AiContextClassifier) reads ±300 characters around up to three mentions plus the job title and judges each page job_requires, job_culture (the employer embraces AI in how it works but asks nothing specific of the candidate) or not_job (the employer's product, company or investors, another job's title, menus, recruitment AI policy, CV advice). Only job_requires counts; on the 1,000-company trial about half the regex matches were not about the job. value_json.culture_pct = share judged job_culture, regex_pct = share with any regex AI mention (the figure before the check), unchecked_adverts = adverts with a mention not yet judged (counted as non-AI, so while any remain the value is a floor), skill_required_pct = share where an AI tool is the object of a requirement ("experience with ChatGPT") and the check agreed. Titles the classifier permanently failed on are excluded. Employer-weighted: each employer's share of its own adverts is computed, then averaged across employers, so every employer counts once however many adverts it posts; n = employers (min n applies to employers), value_json.adverts = adverts behind them. value_json.employers_any_pct = % of employers with at least one such advert. Adverts: job pages whose linked title the title classifier settled as a real job (an "Apprenticeships", "Early Careers" or "Graduate programme" page is not an advert); pages whose title is not classified yet are left out, so coverage grows as titles are classified. Adverts whose own stated posted / closing date is more than 180 days old are stale and left out.
