What will you be doing? Within the IT Security & Infrastructure Analyst role you will: Provide support for our on-premises and external technical infrastructure as we continue our transformation to cloud hosted services. Identify problems and develop plans to protect us from threats such as unauthorised access, data theft or file damage. Provide expert second and third-line support for our on-premise and external technical infrastructure, including network, hosting architecture and cloud services. What skills and experience do you need? Essential skills and experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively. A good working knowledge of various security technologies such as network and application firewalls, host intrusion prevention and anti-virus. Ability to build and maintain trust. Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and assess risks, threats, patterns, and trends. Highly organised, with the ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines. An understanding of the cyber security risks associated with various technologies and ways to manage them. In-depth experience of managing hosted and on-premises services and infrastructure, including network, perimeter security, hosting architecture and cloud services. Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 Defender, Active Directory and Microsoft 365. Knowledge of IT and cyber security principles and best practice. Experience in actively monitoring network traffic and system logs using SIEM tools to detect, isolate, and mitigate potential cyber threats. Ability to deploy critical security updates across servers, workstations, and network hardware to reduce exposure to vulnerabilities. Ability to act as a key member of the incident response team to investigate and resolve escalated technical faults and security alerts. Desirable skills and experience Experience of as a Security Analyst within a multi-site environment. Experience of Azure and AWS. Cyber Security qualification. Microsoft Certified Professional: Windows Server Microsoft 365 Security Good knowledge of Azure Why choose us?
