The role and what you’ll be getting up to on a day-to-day basis As a ServiceNow Developer , you’ll join our ISTM Tooling team, working within a fast-paced Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment. You’ll play a key role in designing, developing, implementing, and supporting innovative ServiceNow solutions that help drive service excellence for both our customers and internal teams. You will: Design, develop, and configure custom applications, workflows, and integrations within the ServiceNow platform. Build and maintain Service Catalog items, forms, and user interfaces. Create automated business processes using workflows, scripts, and APIs. Configure and customise ITSM modules including Incident, Problem, Change, and Asset Management. Integrate ServiceNow with third-party tools and business systems. Develop and maintain CMDB integrations and data quality processes. Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements. Support ServiceNow upgrades and new releases, ensuring stability and continual improvement. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions. Create clear technical documentation and provide user guidance where needed. Identify opportunities to maximise ServiceNow capabilities and improve service delivery. Share knowledge and mentor colleagues across the wider team. Who you are We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Essential skills and experience: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA). ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD). Proven experience developing and implementing ServiceNow ITSM solutions. Strong knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and best practices. Experience with JavaScript, HTML/XHTML, XML, and JSON. Knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs and web services development. A customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering quality solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to adapt to changing business and technology environments. Desirable: ITIL v4 Foundation certification. Degree-level education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience integrating enterprise platforms using REST, SOAP, XML, AJAX, CSS, and related web technologies.
